Who said socialism could not inspire designers and architects? It does and the result proves to be amazing! The apartment turns you back in time and shows you elements from an epoch when design didn’t have so much to offer. But, the new contextualization owners Ana and Michael succeeded to offer to old pieces of furniture transformed the apartment in a cozy, uncluttered place. They chose to create clean, open spaces with neutral colors and used the space efficiently. For example, the bedroom is hidden by the huge library that represents a functional pieces, as well as an aesthetic one. She’s an illustrator and he’s an architect member of the Planwerk studio and they both share a passion for old furniture that was restored and brought to life beautifully.
