A modern apartment decor requires fresh spirits. Like those working at Andra Birkerts Design, a studio that completed the interiors of the apartment below. Located in Boston, Massachusetts, USA, the flat features a stylish eclectic look, making the inhabitants feel relaxed and comfortable. Using a natural chromatic palette with tones of beige, light brown and khaki, together with chic pieces of furniture, the designers succeeded in creating a cozy modern apartment. Have a look and let us know if you enjoyed the project!

Books are always welcomed at home! A floor-to-ceiling bookcase was used in this modern apartment in order to store all the editions. Vases and sculptures among books animate the set-up, alternating the focal points.

Lying in bed in a cozy atmosphere…the cosmopolite view outside makes you feel a citizen of the world!

The lamp with its original, yellow lacquered foot adds personality to the interior. Large drawings with catchy symbols work fantastic in a modern apartment.

A carpet with a ragged, industrial look and a black wooden bench are perfect for the hallway. The vivid painting on the wall provides a surprising escape in the nature.

In the bathroom, the designers opted for a classic decor with white cabinets and marble countertops.

A wallpaper with various geometric models is an inspiring choice if you want to mark the sleeping area artistically. The armchair and the table near the window – an working area – reflect a modern, clean aesthetic.

Do not forget about flowers and plants…they enliven the atmosphere immediately.

I love designers that look for nonconformist entries…like the bedside table in the picture above that looks like an old suitcase fixed on two deer horns. The painting with oversized tulips transmits a feeling of innocence and naivety.

Luminous and welcoming, the living room feels like a light symphony with floor lamps, chandeliers and pendant lamps.

A dining table for four was installed in a corner; just to offer incredible views of the city while eating.

Simply my favourite piece in this modern apartment!

A painting can make the space look wider than it really is…
