Books, sculptures, paintings and lots of flowers are nestled in this amazing country house (Osterlen, Sweden) we discovered recently on lantliv.com. It is owned by Lisa and Gunnar Larson, two fabulous artists that knew how to transform every corner of their house into a lovely place. As you can easily notice from the pictures below, the building is very old, but they chose to keep most of the original construction, including exposed beams, woodwork, and flooring. A stove with a traditional fireplace represents the focal point of the kitchen as it reminds us of the ‘ancient’ origins of the building. Relying on vivid colors, the artists changed the atmosphere immediately with red, pink, yellow, blue and turquoise. The all-white interior makes the space airy and relaxed, while the various artistic objects add personality to the house. In a nutshell, this is exactly the type of house I would like to live in: a warm habitat that has years of history behind with an interior that keeps changing because the designing process has not come to an end yet.
