When you have only 50 sqm for living, you are not prepared to dream big. Well, designer and architect Sergey Makhno (founder of Makhno studio) does not feel the same. Asked by a young man to ‘include all in one room’, he answered ‘yes, I can!’ immediately. Therefore, a multiple cabinets concept was used for an apartment that features a living room, a dining, a home cinema system, a bedroom, a bathroom and a small library. To better understand the concept, just imagine a row of cabinets hidden behind sliding doors, organized like train wagons. When the doors open, they reveal their ‘true nature’, creating depth and space. Last, but not least, a focal point was chosen in order to attract visitors’ attention: the colored modular sofa designed by Roche Bobois installed in the living room. Finally, a lot of interesting lighting objects complete the whole set-up.
