Got a broken washing machine lying around and you have no idea of how to recycle an old washing machine drum? You can create a pendant lamp, an ottoman, a wall light or even or you can enjoy the starry nights without getting goose bumps by building yourself an elevated fire pit from an old washing machine drum!

Two green Lebanese designers have used old washing machine drums to make intricately decorated seats with lots of storage space inside. Which is just as well as Lebanon produces 4,000 tonnes of waste a day and only 10 percent of that is recycled. Whats more, 40 percent of all garbage generated is consigned to over 700 illegal and unsafe dump sites across the tiny nation.

The lamps have for base the washing machine’s drums no longer in use, decorated with various types of materials. Associated to the main body there is a photographic tripod which attains a combination of design and functionality.
