Leo A Daly architects has recently completed Flordia Atlantic University‘s College of Computer Science and Engineering Building. The new building holds the numerous different labs of the Computer Science and Engineering Programs within a building that leads the way for Florida’s academic buildings in technology and sustainability.
The design of the building takes advantage of its Florida setting. Daylight floods the laboratories, and is also used to heat the building’s hot water. Native vegetation has been used around the FAU College of Computer Science and Engineering Building to encourage biodiversity in the plants and animals around the school. Wetlands and retention ponds have also been created.
