Apart from recalling the name of the Highest Mountain of Europe, Montblanc House is a house designed by the Japanese architectural studio based in Okazaki, Studio Velocity that has a unique design able to capture for its apparent simplicity. The deeply enlightened roof and the house slightly oversized in its architectural elements manipulate the size of the openings, five in the entire, that without any glass draw non-conventional spaces. The windows, as “voids,” lacking sashes, have a totally different scale from the neighboring houses windows. As every Japanese house the interior is simple, spacious, bright and facing the small internal garden.
