OP Architecture from Denmark wins the special prize for Grossmarkthalle Memorial in Frankfurt with Absent Monument project.
In collaboration with the European Central Bank and the Jewish Community of Frankfurt, the City of Frankfurt am Main, OP Architecture created a memorial site in the immediate vicinity of the former Großmarkthalle to commemorate the deportation of more than 10,000 Jewish citizens of Frankfurt, who were assembled on this site before being deported to concentration camps.
The competition has two phases and OPArchitecture was honored with the jury’s special prize.
