A sunny residence with impressive rooms resulted after Evan Braun Design remodeled the mid-century house below. Functionality and sustainability were the major principles according to which the team redesigned the interior, but also a reflexive tranquility that inspires the inhabitants of the house. Firstly, the team began with a fresh, new floor plan that allowed a smart reorganization: the open kitchen communicates with the dining area, the living room enjoys a wonderful landscape through large transparent windows, as well as the bedroom which is surrounded by three glass walls. Rooted in sustainability, the materials were used as to create the feeling of a natural escape. Wood, you will notice immediately, is a dominant actor here, boosting the warmth of this sunny residence and being a perfect complement for stone, marble and ceramics. Exposed beams and walls give the interior the ‘back to essentials’ feeling and create the perfect décor for contemplation. Last, but not least, sun is invited wholeheartedly in every room which benefit from its abundance and returns its favor to the spirit of the house.
