Ready for another ingenious building transformation? Transformed from a old factory into an unconventional living space by the creative minds of Fanny and Pascal Françoisthe place is intriguing to say the least. Despite the industrial characteristics of this old factory building, they managed to create a warm, relaxed and inviting atmosphere.

With the help of Lille based firm Bo Architectures, the couple decided to knock out all the unnecessary walls and instead create a ground floor where the kitchen, dining room and living room are situated in one large open space.White walls throughout make a good background for twisted shapes and minimalist furniture. To preserve the original spirit of the building there were two specific elements important for the couple: a concrete floor and the designs of the windows, which had to be replaced by seemingly identical ones. The color palette is kept simple- few objects disrupt the grandeur of the black and white duo- resulting in a sober, yet strangely appealing design scheme. The walls were sandblasted to restore the home’s original brick walls. We think this idea of turning an old factory into a home is sustainable and daring. And as we are looking through the end results, we can’t help but appreciate this project even more. How do you find it?
