Situated in Araraquara, Brazil, the FG Residence by Reinach Mendonça Architects is a family home that is both modern yet comfortable in its design. The residence was designed for a family that spends seasons in their hometown, in the inland of São Paulo.The spacious living environments are all downstairs, organized in an “L-shaped” plant facing the large garden and swimming pool. At the main entrance of the house, the volume of metal walls of the office goes as a swing above the garden, a strong and attractive composition to show the double large portal of entry. A large double-height foyer opens up to the ground floor living and dining areas, while the upper level houses bedrooms. An indoor ramp with a glass bannister joins the two levels together, keeping the fit-out contemporary. In the rear, an elevated walkway covers the roofed outdoor terrace, which looks out onto the swimming pool and lawn.
