Realized by Sharon Neuman Architects in 2011, Eco House is planned with energy efficiency as one of the leading goals. Therefore, a lot of design details were utilized to accomplish this target: efficient insulating materials and southern walls with extra thickness. Moreover, rainwater and dew are collected and stored, water recycled where possible, and solar water heater is installed as well as a composting device. As for the aesthetic challenging, Eco House presented a difficult design task because it is located on a long and narrow plot. The result? A lot of different angles that shape the interior in various areas, making the dwelling look modern and sophisticated. For example, the living room looks like an art gallery, flooded by natural light all day long. Admiring the landscape outside must be both relaxing and energizing so do not hesitate to opt for transparent walls if you want a natural flavor inside.
