This year, we are looking for something different. Golden garlands, red globes and green elfs are so popular that it is almost impossible to find the ‘special ones’ in the chaotic universe of Christmas accessories.
That’s the reason why we were very enthusiastic to discover on etsy.com and breslo.ro what two talented Romanian artists, Zsolt and Réka made from juniper: unique displays of natural beauty in little trees, clouds, snowmen and reindeer. It all started with Morgod, a fictional character, Zsolt explains: “Now this name represents attachment, activity, creation and passion. I love working with my own two hands, and watching how raw material becomes an object in my grasp. Nothing else can compare to that kind of joy”. Réka, his girlfriend became a fan of juniper immediately. She is responsible for burnishing and treating the wood, making sure Zsolt uses all the apparently useless leftovers. Now, they look at every object in search of inspiration, trying to make all the ideas become reality.
