Modern Cabin GJ-9 is located in Bjergøy, Norway, and was constructed by Gudmundur Jonsson Architect. Made out of stone and wood, the home provides a comfortable and warm shelter from the cold of the Scandinavian country. According to the architects:

“The Cabin is designed for adaption to multiple settings not taking any particular site into consideration, being a product for mass-production distribution. Two volumes containing bedrooms and service-area are composed in order to obtain the living and dining room space as glazed pavilion in-between giving contact to the nature in all directions. The large roof has simultaneously the purpose of giving the impression that the Cabins space is bigger experienced from the inside. The terrace and the roof make a unity and extend the space with the glazed facade and the sliding doors. The lower sleeping unit is released from the roof by glazed transition between the volume and the roof, emphasized by LED-lighting in the transition. This Cabin is designed with possibilities of establishing roof terrace as well.”
