Did you know…if you live in a house that is strongly connected with nature, you benefit of a good sense of humor and psychological well being? I don’t know if architects from Skylab Architecture thought the same when designing the project of the Meschter Residence, but they did a great job! Completed in 2012, Meschter Residence is located in Portland, Oregon, U.S.A., on a green area that satisfies social, physical and spiritual needs. Even if I did not visited the house, I can say its inhabitans are flexible and adaptable, living in the “continuous present”. Let the design be…inspired by nature and be sustainable, healthy, conserving, and diverse.

The idea of organic architecture refers not only to the buildings’ literal relationship to the natural surroundings, but how the buildings’ design is carefully thought about as if it were a unified organism.

The interior communicates very well with the exterior.

Meschter Residence is surrounded by a beautiful landscape – Portland is a city located in the U.S. state of Oregon, near the confluence of the Willamette and Columbia rivers. Discover hidden treasures along its countless pathways and enjoy the sights, fragrances and abundance of plants on display!
