It is slighty rasied from the ground, standing on three feet and can be accesed by a litte ramp. It’s shape, like a drop has been chosen in order to optimize the relation between the outter surface of the skin and the inner volume.
The ‘MercuryHouseOne’ is powered only by solar panels made of semi-transparent photo-voltaic cells. The glass fiber monocoque body is covered with ultra thin, white marble skin that features a mosaic. The large openings, made of slightly colored translucent acrylic, expand the inner space to the
surrounding environment and, during the night, to the starlit sky.
It provides a space to find peace and tranquility and experience natures’ beauty and energies. It is creating a space of refreshemnt for the mind, body and spirit.
