Mecanoo has designed a new green public housing located in Malága, Spain, near to the University zone. The development comprises 170 residences, designed with solar paneling to minimize energy use, and alternating heights of five or six stories to allow natural ventilation and natural light to penetrate the interior spaces. There was designed 109 two bedroom homes of 65-75 m2 and 61 three bedroom homes of 85 – 99 m2 and a parking garage for 263 cars.
