Do you know how to light your room right? Probably one of the most interesting collections I’ve written about lately, the lighting objects of this gallery unveil my favourite aesthetic – in vogue, but apparently with no style. Spotted on couleurlocale.eu, the items feature an unfinished, sometimes rough exterior. The materials have natural origins – textile, cane, canvas -, and reflect manual labor. Their source of inspiration rooted in elements that echo a stylish mix of creativity and ludic design. Take the garlands of white globes that we usually use to decorate the party rooms, for example. Or the metallic hand lamps we need while going out for camping. They were transformed in elegant pendants and light the interiors beautifully. Explore this wonderful selection and let us know what fits best in your home.

A fairy-like room with white globes

I adore this sleeping room – so simple, yet elegant and very romantic. A low level bed (maybe, there is only one mattress underneath) represents the furnishing of this interior which was completely painted in white. Where is the light? Firstly, the sun comes inside as much as possible through two tall, cathedral-like windows. Secondly, a star shaped structure with globes is both functional and decorative, illuminating the room. The garland with grey and while bulbs near the bed is the nonchálant ingredient that makes the bedroom amazingly attractive.

White felt lamps

I believe a very few of us would choose felt for a pendant lamp, but, as curious as it might seem, the material works for lighting too. The items above remind me of cotton flowers – pure, sincere, and very elegant. The collection features various heights and sizes and adds personality to this cozy reading place.

Glittering blue globes

Perfect for an outdoor design, the globes animate the area, making it feel dreamy and gentle. I love the way they integrate in this rustic décor – the rough fence and the crafted low table make a splendid pair with them. One small minus – they are not a proper source for lighting and if you want to read you will need an extra lamp. However, these globes are still an option for romantic retreats. :-)

Woven lamps

I love the rustic interiors for their natural look. Inside, you feel relaxed, always in a strong connection with nature. The oversize lamp in the picture above functions as a statement – it complements amazingly with the bedside table and the colors of the blanket. This minimalist interior simply says: come here and pamper your sense!

The hand lamps – always trendy and versatile

This picture is in vacation mood! It reminds me of some friends going to camp in the mountains or of brave fishermen who start working very early in the morning. The glass cylinder holding the candle is covered in a rough netting that gives it a natural look. Where can you put these lamps? On a terrace, in a balcony or along the alleys in the garden. They are very practical and add personality to the space.

Canvas in a metallic structure

The metallic cylinder functions as holding structure for the white canvas which is fixed with strings by it. Due to its catchy look, the lamp becomes a focal point of the dining area and it makes a good pair with the wooden furniture. Put a flower pot or some greenery nearby and you will enliven the space immediately.

Add some additional light where you need it and complete the décor with some catchy modern lamps.

Bulbs and ropes

The solution is very practical and also very interesting. Your guests will admire the fact that you went back to essential things and created a lamp from bare bulbs and ropes. The strings might vary in size, but I believe the thick ones are much more expressive. You can hide the electric wire inside the rope and then curl it up to various models until to create a contemporary catchy installation.

Globes similar to balloons hanging in a bathroom … they look like two planets and make the environment serene.

Resembling the Sahara desert, the décor above is natural and very inviting. The lamps look like hats and I love the fact that the borders were left unfinished. All the items communicate easily with each other resulting in a harmonious space.

Try it at home: fix several circles on a metallic structure and interknit straws as to make a lovely cocoon. The room features a minimalist aesthetic: a bed, a carpet and niches of various forms offer space for storing items.

This garland of globes recalls the atmosphere of the festivals and I love the romantic atmosphere created around the sleeping area.
