The brief for Slurp Soup was to create a fresh new identity for an upmarket soup kitchen predominantly catering to the work crowd. Slurp serves fresh salads & soups with decent amount of fillings made by scratch. With a strong focus on ‘freshness’ the shop is monochromatic with a ladle green wall which lines 2 walls. A black and white checkered wallpaper and floor, marble counter and a nice atmosphere.
Reinventing a classic style checker board tile pattern, like that of a picnic blanket, from floor to wall to ceiling adds detail and patterning into the space. Feature menu chalk boards with solid oak timber frames and black steel frame cabinetry create a simple back drop that subtly references the home made food while still being modern and contemporary. According to the owner: “What motivates us is producing honest and nutritious food loaded with goodness and flavour. We believe good food has the power to nourish the body and the soul and our purpose is to bring good food to as many people we can. Our motto is: “nourish the many”. Slurp Soup and Salad Bar is a boutique soup and salad bar in the Perth CBD serving fresh, chef inspired dishes made from scratch and available to go! Carefully crafted breakfast items plus a diverse selection of soups and salads from a takeaway shop.
