Are you looking for ideas of how to plan your garden? English terraces with roses, Japanese Zen patios or sandy deserts filled with cacti and succulents? No matter what you choose for outdoor design, a previous planning is always a necessity. It helps you prepare a list of your main goals, assets and limitations. Thus, we thought that a project with ideas of how to plan your garden could be very useful this summer. Located in Lysterfield, a suburb in Melbourne, Australia, the garden design below was realised by Apex Landscapes. As you can easily notice, everything was carefully arranged and organised, taking into consideration four major elements: floor, walls, ceiling, furniture. And as in building a house, you go from the ground up. Paving materials, lawn grass or plantable soil work perfectly on the ‘floor’. Secondly, fences, hedges or structures of trellis could be walls in the garden. As for the ceiling, the open sky is usually the best solution, but you can also involve an umbrella, an overarching tree or a pergola with a cloak of flowers. At the end, look up for tables,  chairs, benches and garden ornaments. Have a look and let us know if you understood how to plan your garden.
