If you want to add personality to a contemporary space, art is always a reliable option. Paintings, sculptures, vases, drawings, photographies and even unique pieces of furniture can help create the spirit of an art gallery at home. Anyway, it is not a museum you are looking for, but a territory with identity and charm. Realized by Boom Town studio from Canada, the residence below speaks this language perfectly. Built after World War II, the building which is a typical Montreal architecture has got a complete remodeling recently. The main goal was to allow natural light come inside as much as possible and to create dynamic interiors. The result? A sober, crammed, almost repellent space became luminous, inviting and contemporary.

Art is present in the bathroom too. A hot picture above the toilet animates the space, while the wooden niche in the wall provides room for a little exhibition. Pure white tiles make this tiny bathroom look wider.
