A wood house gathers fragments of nature inside. Harmonious colours, fresh looks and resistant substances that make the area a welcoming place. This is exactly the case with the dwelling below, a L-shape architectural masterpiece realised by 81.WAW.PL studio. The functionality of the wood house was defined in a clear way. A long corridor allows a smooth communication between spaces, while the windows arranged at both ends invite the garden inside. ‘We divided the building in two blocks. One of them is called ‘the dirty zone’ or garage, while the other one represents the living area – three bedrooms with private bathrooms‘, the architects explained. The building structure is a system of vertical and horizontal planes that create an interesting visual effect.
Two comfy armchairs on the terrace. The entire house and its surroundings was adapted to the needs of people with disabilities. Both the entrance and the exit from the terrace run along the ramp, making it easy to move around in a wheelchair. Moreover, the internal corridor is designed to facilitate access to all rooms.
The L-shaped house features an usable area of 250 square meters. Inside, it hides everything a family of four needs to live comfortably and comfortably.
Timber has been used for thousands of years for both fuel and as a construction material. Now, it proves its aesthetic functions, too.
A Japanese-style garden was designed in front of the house, where the main elements of decoration are flat rocks and low plants that retain the green look throughout the year. The materials used to finish the facade of the house – wood and natural slate – make the building seem to grow out of the garden.
