Pools for a great bath at home? You have come to the right place. We browsed a bunch of specialized websites, and found some gorgeous, inspiring examples at Samujana, a complex of luxurious residences, located on the northeastern coast of Koh Samui, in Thailand. Designed according to the ‘less is more’ principle, the pools seem to embrace the dwellings they serve, while keeping a strong connection with the landscape outside. Built either above or in-ground, they were constructed from materials such as concrete, metal or fiberglass and offer unique oases of recreation. On the deck, wooden or marble terraces accompany the pools, allowing a smooth transition inside. Some residences have the entire dining area set up outside so that the guests can admire the pools as long as possible.

Beside being a nice place to cool off, pools make the yard animated and visually interesting. The one above fits perfectly in the natural landscape that was recreated with stone and wood, while the pool below seems to be integrating in the ocean. Be sure there are plenty of umbrellas and chaise lounges on hand, so you can sit outside and enjoy the nice weather.

White makes the space look brighter and larger, while the red sofas bring a hot spot in the scenery. The lounge area was covered so that the inhabitants could enjoy the view even when it is raining.
