This contemporary interior is a 2011 project by Norway-based firm Dis. interiørarkitekter mnil that is located in Tallinn, Estonia.

It exemplifies the Nordic style while including a few colorful elements to generate a space of unique character.  The architects chose a basic color palette of different shades of gray to achieve a warm and classic expression that harmonize with the architecture in the timber house. As a contrast the architects chose elements of colorful fabrics and rugs that also add warmth and playfulness to the interior. Some of the furniture was reused, and got new fabrics or surface treatment to fit the new look.
