Is there a receipt for designing according to modern principles? I’m sure there are a lot of dos and don’ts  when it comes to establishing the right configuration of elements, but it isn’t a huge mistake to try to find your own personal touch in a house. The one we present you today is made by a ‘professional’ – interior designer Susan Drover of SAM Design owns the house located in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. As the SAM design states on its website, the style lives here. The living room is one of my favorite places because it says from the beginning: “come closer!” The sofas in the room may gather the friends of every friend at a pajamas party, while the window facilitates the communication with the exterior. I love the white walls choice because they are a perfect background for the pictures, making the room look more familiar and elegant. Keep in mind: when you want something different, find a good painter or borrow some ideas from a well known artist!

The pile of logs creates an interesting contrast near the velvet armchair in the living room.
