In this small, weekend and vacation retreat, the clients wanted to take refuge from the world. Located in Val-des-Monts, Québec, the Hill-Maheux cottage is a perfect small house for the holiday weekend. Designed by Kariouk Associates, the shape of the house is very simple: two “wings” of living space that are joined by an elliptical loft hovering over the foyer; One of which includes three bedrooms and a bathroom, and another – a kitchen, dining room and living room with magnificent views of the forest and the lake. The house was designed with a maximum connection to its beautiful, forested and lake-side site.
