The holiday house designed by Pedro Reis is located in Melides, on the southern Alentejo Coast, Grândola, Portugal. Designed by Pedro Reis, the client’s wish was to have a contemporary holiday house to escape from the city noise.
The minimalist philosophy represents a lifestyle that is practical, dynamic, concise, effective and efficient, which is applied in all aspects of life including the architecture, interior spaces and exterior garden.
The kitchen, as the center of the house, take the very important here, acting as a point of intersection for all movement: enter, going through the inside and moved into the garden, with a long pergola provides shade and water tanks that reflects the pine trees, organized under the building to the main bedroom.
The experience of this house aims to concentrate on its essence, on being inside and out, on contemplating and lingering, highlighting a enjoyable sense of living, close to the amenities of urban life.
